Study on fees or charges collected by the Member States to cover the costs occasioned by official controls
01/09/2009
This study for DG SANCO examined the systems used to recover fees and charges resulting from official controls under Regulation 882/2004. A survey of all 27 Member States established the Competent Authorities involved and the method by which they set fees for various livestock products. The various systems were evaluated in terms of their performance and consideration was given to improving the systems. Case studies were carried out in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and Slovakia.
