This economic analysis for the UK’s Biscuit, Cake, Chocolate and Confectionery Association assessed the impact of the current EU sugar regime on UK biscuit, cake, chocolate and confectionery manufacturing companies and assessed the likely impact of a number of possible reform options on the commercial viability of the sector.  Specifically, it analysed the impact of the sugar regime and reform options on production, trade and employment in the sector.
