Impact assessment on the proposed changes for authorisation and use of pesticides

This impact assessment for the European Crop Protection Association provided an economic assessment of the European Parliament’s amendments to the European Commission’s proposals for the authorisation and use of pesticides under the Thematic Strategy for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides.  Specifically, the report assessed the economic impact of the proposed changes and amendments to: national provisions authorisation of PPPs containing new active substances; mutual recognition and zonal authorisation; cut-off criteria and comparative assessment; and, the reduction of pesticide use in sensitive areas.
